Skin problem of my lab

Postby Bijalgehlot » Thu Jul 29, 2010 4:44 pm

I have adopted 2.5 years male black labrador. He is very playful, friendly and intelligent. Since he was abandoned he has some skin patches but after the treatment he is recovering fast and getting hair on it. The Vet also tells that it will be recover overall in short period. Is it normal?

What is the reason of blood in his stool that appears 2-3 times. I have consulted the Vet and he given antibiotic tablet and said that it is generally by milk or milk products given to him. Now I've changed my dog's meal and it has recovered in just single meal. Is there anything to worry?

Sorry for the delayed response.
Your dog could have been suffering from dysentry and the vet must have treated it accordingly. As far as hair loss is concerned, i am sure it must have been better by now. If not you should re-visit the vet to rule out external parasites.
