Dog has stopped eating

Postby aakaash » Sun Dec 21, 2008 12:41 am

My dog has injured his foot and is limping past few days. He is a labrador by breed and 11 years old. The doc is giving treatment and will remove an xray soon since the leg is just not healing.

He has stopped eating. He usually has veg food but loves nonveg. Gave that but he doesnt react to even that too. Even sypon seems to be not having an effect on him. Worried for him. Please can you help.

have u done his bloodwork?
he maybe in physical pain and or may have an infection that maybe affecting his appetite.

also google for some information u will get a lot of info.

if u have access to abroad, u get a food by hills company called convalescence food.
it is a special food for sick ill animals.
it is easy to digest and also tasty.
call for that.

also u should give him this vitamin paste especially for dogs.
the dealer is in chennai.
the company is sanjay marketing.
number is 0422 3206263 and 0422 3206364
the product is pet ag vitamin paste(i dont rem the exact name)

if u are in mumbai i have an extra paste with me, just email me on nattuli@gmail.com
this will give ur doggy lot of energy.

best of luck

We are sorry but due to new year and holidays the forum was not being monitored the last fortnight or so..

I dont know how your dog is now but I hope his leg is better now and the appetite has returned.

Please let us know

well, dont worry it will be fine soon.
was tr any fracture or wound on the leg.
As you have taken it to vet & treatment by vet vl be accordingly-------------you just follow it.
Not taking its food ,even food it likes may be due to illness(every one gets lazy, dull depressed due to-DisEase)
Keep check on temperature.
